Take a swim under the mirage-like effect that salt water and fresh water produces. Where these part like water and oil, and where you will feel free to wonder. Over 70 different species have been recorded seen in these waters, including parrotfish, stingrays, snappers, yellow tail, the occasional barracuda and chubs. XEL-HA is one of the few places where saltwater and freshwater creatures live together. So take a swim among them.

There are six snorkel equipment distribution centers in the area. You can find all-size life jackets at almost any pier at no additional cost. Right from the pier you can jump off and encounter a new adventure. Face the water and simply watch as these creatures interact in their natural habitat. Something you simply cannot see in a typical aquarium.

This natural aquarium allows you to go beyond the glass and inside the water. Get as close as you want to the fish and swim along with them. Swim on your own, through little caves, along the water bridge, which allows you to see beyond the water park, and around the park. Come out to the surface and enjoy being in a wonderful serene paradise.
